The double Olympic champion and executive president of the Ecomar Foundation, Theresa Zabell Lucas, will speak as a speaker at the Blue Zone Forum (BZF), organized by Zona Franca de Cádiz and Incubazul. She has always been linked to the sea, first as a sailor and then as executive president of the Ecomar Foundation, in which she has carried out awareness and education work on caring for the seas, reaching more than 15,000 children each year. and a clear objective of achieving a better planet.

Zabell's presentation is scheduled for the second day of the event, Thursday, November 30, at 1:30 p.m. at the Palacio de Congresos. Theresa had her first contact with the sea when she was only a few months old, when the Zabell family emigrated to the Canary Islands from England on a cruise for professional reasons of her father, who after her took up residence with her family. she in Fuengirola (Málaga).

Today she is an executive woman who speaks four languages ​​and has an extensive 40-year career in the world of sports, business and the environment. She is considered a visionary leader with a proven track record of driving and managing organizational change in highly competitive environments, with innovative ideas and executive management.

Theresa Zabell has been an international consultant for UNESCO on issues related to sport, a member of the European Parliament and vice-president of the Commission on Education, Culture and Sport, where she worked to include sport as a new competition within community programs and 1st vice-president of the Spanish Olympic Committee.

She is secretary of the Jury of the Princess of Asturias Sports Award and member of the Jury of the National Sports Awards. She holds the Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Sports Merit, the Grand Cross of Naval Merit and the Olympic Order.

His sports career is full of successes. He won Gold at the Barcelona (1992) and Atlanta (1996) Olympic Games. In addition, she has obtained 5 gold medals and one silver in World Championships, 3 gold medals in European Championships and has been proclaimed winner of international Olympic weeks and 13 Spanish championships on 14 occasions. She has been number one in the world sailing ranking on several occasions and chosen Best Sailor of the 20th Century by the International Sailing Federation.

After her retirement from Olympic life, in 1998, she launched the aforementioned Ecomar Foundation of which she is executive president. Ecomar aims to save the planet and invites thousands of people every year to be part of the solution. Participation of Incubazul startups in BZF

The Blue Zone Forum meeting also has a notable participation of the 71 Incubazul startups on November 29 and 30, at the Conference Center.

Throughout these two days, this Blue Economy forum will hold numerous activities especially aimed at emerging companies from the Cádiz incubator. Among them, there will be meetings with investors, exhibitions that project their image and brand, a rotating exhibition space to publicize their products and services and, at the same time, the startups will have the possibility of participating in round tables and attending the different talks and conferences organized at BZF.

BZF will bring together in the same event international, national and local speakers who will present good practices and debate the needs and solutions in each of the large blocks on which the programming focuses, which will have two itineraries: one aimed at business public, called Thinking in Blue; and another aimed at entrepreneurs and Blue Youth, called Rock in Blue.
